finished {photographer mittens}

I finished knitting my new mittens last night!  I definitely had one of those moments when I finished one mitten quickly, then the second one took me a little longer to complete (that usually happens with socks, but I suppose it happens with mittens, too).  I love that these have long ribbed cuffs I can tuck into my jacket sleeves.

I used this pattern for photographer mittens, so the pattern also includes a ribbed slit you can poke your finger out of to take photos (or use your phone!) without taking off your entire mitten : )

I have fairly small hands, so I modified the pattern a little bit (knitting only 24 rows at the end of the mitten and 14 rows for the thumb).  I also knit the index finger slit a few stitches smaller.

I already have my next pattern selected and yarn picked out - I'll be casting on this afternoon!
