Friday is here - it's time for me to get a haircut (one of my favorite things in the world!!) and go to a cook-out tonight. And lots of other stuff in between. I'll be sewing new curtains this weekend with some lovely sheer fabric that arrived on my doorstep yesterday - they'll be light and airy and breezy- just the way I like my curtains to be.
Oh, and I just found this Tumblr devoted to Anne and Gilbert!
And I'm in love with this pretty room.

Thanks for the Katherine Hepburn quotation. It's good for an early Saturday morning. I found the beehive picture very interesting. My late companion was a beekeeper and he used wooden boxes called "supers" for his bee colonies. Do you happen to know if the bee baskets are what are known as skeps? As usual, I enjoy the classy simplicity of your blog posts.
