in which my cat imitates art

My cat Macy often lays in this extravagantly reclined pose...

...and I like to think of her as a hilarious cat version of an Odalisque or Venus. I'm pretty sure that my cat has an extensive knowledge of art history, so maybe she is doing it on purpose. I don't know. All she needs is some sort of allegorical scene or symbolic objects arranged artfully in the background and I'd swear she was posing for Titian. Except that she's not gazing directly at my camera and causing a scandal by looking you in the eye. So maybe she's posing for Ingres.

Or maybe majoring in art history makes me think weird things.
