You've probably seen on the news that we had a giant tornado hit Tuscaloosa this week...
We're ok and our apartment is ok, we now have access to power & internet on our street, although our water isn't safe to drink without boiling. Just a 10 minute walk away, though, things are totally different. I don't even recognize the neighborhood I used to bike through on my way to the post office...

I have more photos here on flickr, including a shot of what used to be my local Hobby Lobby... sigh.... everything is topsy turvy. My thoughts are with those who lost homes and loved ones...

I had no idea that you were in the middle of the tornado. What a terrifying experience it must have been. Glad to hear that you are safe.
Oh Rachel, Thank goodness you are alright! I have seen it on the news briefly between the Royal Wedding stuff and it is heartbreaking to watch. I can only imagine what it must be like to be amongst it.
I'm so glad that you are ok. Take care, my lovely. Sending you big hugs.

What devastation! That's sad to see homes and lives destroyed like that. It's good that you made it safely through the tornado. I'm sure it must have been frightening.
