Plans for another project, much bigger than the last few I've done...

Demise of the Wedgewood

I have posted about knitting the Wedgewood sweater on several occasions and it started off well enough... but now it's dead.  The sweater was turning out rather short for my taste, then I got to the paisley pattern and somehow my stitch count was off, then I tried to unravel a bit... you get the idea.  It just wasn't going well.  However, I think it was all for the best because I'm now using the Wedgewood yarn to knit the much quicker, simpler Sullivan Street Bolero from The Purl Bee.  Seriously, this pattern is easy and comes together very fast AND it isn't turning out freakishly short.  What more could I want?

Just a note, I ordered a new set of business cards from Moo and I am in love with them!  I have used Moo cards before and this time I ordered more designs, here is a sampling...

Oh yes, one more thing.  I am wondering if anyone is a member of the Purl Beehive?  I love The Purl Bee in general and am wondering what the Beehive is like...?

Oh hello

Wow.  I am busy.  School is out in a week!

I picked up some beautiful new crochet thread at the yarn shop this morning... I think for another free form project...

This soooooft pima cotton skein is for a custom order in the shop...

And, oh yes, a kitten adopted me this week.  It showed up outside my door, meowing at the top of it's little 4 month old lungs.  The vet said she still has all her baby teeth!  : )  Of course, I'm taking good care of her and she's very happy now...

Her name is Chloe.

I'm also listening to this, it's excellent.

out loud

I can't believe I won the quilt from Bettyninja's giveaway!  Amazing!

And I finished one more embroidery piece... I'm really liking this one.  The fabric had this perfect crease in it and I left it there...

It will end up in my shop sometime this week.

French knots

I have completed the embroidery on three new projects, I'm going to finish them off using this tutorial so they'll be ready to hang soon.  I'm thinking of including them in a shop update in the near future, but I still have a few other project ideas to try out so I'll be busy this afternoon!
