book love

I went to the bookstore yesterday for a not-craft-related book, and ended up walking out with two little extras...

I saw some projects from Patchwork Style in the last issue of Ready Made and just couldn't resist the book when I saw it in person.  The photographs are delicious.  I'm braving the desert heat this afternoon for a trip to the fabric store.  I just can't resist.  

I've already started knitting up one of the patterns from the Knitalong book.  It's been difficult for me to find knitting books I'm really interested lately, but I'm excited about the patterns in this one, especially the blankets.  This is the beginning of the Pinwheel blanket, which spirals out from the center and has a round shape...

One of my friends has started a Monday night craft gathering and I'm so happy to have some fun new projects to take along!
