Almost a sock

I've been working hard on the Spring Forward socks since Friday - this pattern is addictive!  I can't help but love it when something looks complicated but is actually really easy!

I was browsing through some projects on Ravelry yesterday and found the most beautiful sweater ever.  It's called the Herbstlied sweater and - wouldn't you know - it's from a Japanese book called New Style of Heirloom Knitting.  I contacted the person on Ravelry about where they found a translated pattern and immediately began looking for other photos out there in blogland, there is a great one here if you're interested.  I love the leaf pattern up the center and would love to use just that part of the pattern for a scarf!

What gorgeous yarn you are using!! The pattern sure looks complicated - love the texture it gives.

I was too slow getting a comment to you about my favourite sock to knit..............it is Spring Forward, it's so lacy but oh so easy to knit. Yours looks wonderful in those delicate colours. I knit a pair recently in a pale pink and they are so beautiful. Have fun.
