Chinoiserie

This awesomely gilded building is the Chinesische Haus at Park Sanssouci.  It was built in the mid-to-late 1700s and was used for drinking tea!  The inside is painted with more Chinoiserie designs and still holds a collection of porcelain tea sets from the period.  I love the undulating architecture and the figure with an umbrella on the very top of the roof!
