Classic Granny Square Pattern
Foundation Ring: ch6 and join with a slip stitch to form a ring.
Round 1: ch3, 2dc, ch2 (working into ring). Then *work (3dc, ch2) into ring.* Repeat from *to* two more times. Join the last stitch to the beginning of the round with a slip stitch in the top of the first ch3. You should have four clusters of stitches. Turn your work over.
Round 2: Starting where you ended on the last round slip stitch into the space made by the ch2 in the last row. Work (ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc) into this space. *Skip to the next gap and work (3dc, ch2,3dc) into this space.* Repeat from * to * twice more. Join the last stitch to the beginning of the round with a slip stitch in the top of the first ch3. You should have 8 clusters all together. Turn your work over.
Round 3: Starting where you ended on Round 2, slip stitch into the space created by ch2 in the previous row Ch3, 2dc into this space. *Skip to the next gap and work (3dc, ch2, 3dc) into the space, then skip to the next gap and work 3dc into that space*. Repeat from * to * two more times. Skip to next gap and work (3dc, ch2, 3dc) into remaining space. Join the last stitch to the beginning of the roud in top of the first ch3. You should have 12 clusters now. Turn your work over.
Keep going like this, turning your work ad adding more rounds, increasing the number of clusters on each side as you go, until your square is the size you want. When you're finished, snip the yarn, leaving several inches so that you can pull it tightly through the loop and weave the rest into the square to hide it and prevent unravelling.
